The ingredients are exceptionally fresh, and the chef pairs them to create incredible, vibrant flavors.The service is superb and felt very personal. Skate fish was one of best fish we ever tasted, the cooking was perfect, chef’s skills were top notch; i can tell that he is in league of famous chefs of Spain - like chef Rafa Zafra, yet still; the restaurants price is really reasonable. We came back to try other dishes, everything is fantastic again. Yet skatefish are still star of this restaurant. They are GOLD.

La carta es breve pero tienen muchas sugerencias fuera de carta y te dicen los precios. Los platos muy buenos, se nota que manejan una materia prima excelente. El mejor lenguado que hemos tomado, guisantes de lágrima espectaculares y una carta de vinos muy buena. Tiene muchas cosas difíciles de encontrar y a unos precios sensatos. El servicio muy educado y bueno. Volveremos.

En los platos fuera de carta te informan del precio, un detalle a agradecer. El cocinero pasa por las mesas preguntando qué te ha parecido la comida y que le comentes tu opinión. Nos gustó mucho. Es muy buen restaurante y a recomendar.

 Verificada Great food & great hospitality! We had an early dinner here and the staff was very patient with us, accommodated our taste & preferences - the chef even gave us a sample of our entree to make sure we liked the spice level. Overall very cozy and delicious experience!

 Verificada Hard to find, but worth it. This is the best meal I have had in Madrid this trip. It had been recommended by a friend, Spanish, who lives in Madrid. It is a very small restaurant; perhaps 10 to twelve tables. I had the chanterelles for a starter, and then the Skate in brown butter for the main. Both were excellent. I also had a very nice white wine by the glass from the Valencia region, which was recommended. Service was prompt and attentive. The owner/chef came over at the end of the meal to say hello and ask how my experience had been. I think this was a very good value for the quality of the food and the skill of the kitchen. It is hard to find; I literally walked past it twice before I noticed the understated sign. Hard to find, but worth it.

 Verificada SUPERB Superb cooking , fantastic wine list ( really fairly priced ) very helpful and friendly staff. I would suggest to anyone visiting Madrid if you can get a table then book one. This is the total opposite of some on the touristy restaurants Madrid has to offer. La Buena Vida is very good.

 Verificada Calidad, buen producto. Realmente excepcional, la carta un lujo, platos originales, buen producto y mucho mimo en su elaboración, la bodega excepcional y el trato perfecto. Pequeño, tranquilo , buen ambiente, la zona muy agradable para pasear, antes o después.

 Verificada Genial , gracias Genial todo , ni una pega , el jarrete y los calamares nivel dios , pero lo otro , croquetas , vainas , setas etc Perfecto, el jarrete era tan grande que diría que para tres , el precio son 60 por barba sin postre

 Verificada Excelente comida y bodega en ambiente íntimo Comida riquísima con una carta muy cuidada y fueras de carta muy especiales. De aperitivo un combinado de aceituna negra, tomate.. pan de cristal casero. Y la bodega excelente. El ambiente es íntimo y coquetón. Volvemos seguro!
