This is an absolute gem of Madrid, the national wild mushrooms was great. Skate fish was one of best fish we ever tasted, the cooking was perfect, chef’s skills were top notch; i can tell that he is in league of famous chefs of Spain - like chef Rafa Zafra, yet still; the restaurants price is really reasonable. We came back to try other dishes, everything is fantastic again. Yet skatefish are still star of this restaurant. Nos encantó el restaurante. 100% recomendable. La carta es breve pero tienen muchas sugerencias fuera de carta y te dicen los precios. Los platos muy buenos, se nota que manejan una materia prima excelente. El mejor lenguado que hemos tomado, guisantes de lágrima espectaculares y una carta de vinos muy buena. El cocinero pasa por las mesas preguntando qué te ha parecido la comida y que le comentes tu opinión. Nos gustó mucho. Es muy buen restaurante y a recomendar.

It had been recommended by a friend, Spanish, who lives in Madrid. It is a very small restaurant; perhaps 10 to twelve tables. I had the chanterelles for a starter, and then the Skate in brown butter for the main. Both were excellent. I also had a very nice white wine by the glass from the Valencia region, which was recommended. Service was prompt and attentive. The owner/chef came over at the end of the meal to say hello and ask how my experience had been. I think this was a very good value for the quality of the food and the skill of the kitchen. It is hard to find; I literally walked past it twice before I noticed the understated sign.
